Kids' Judo Class
is
Tuesday: 6:15 pm to7:00 pm
and
Friday: 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm
Our classes are small so the kids get plenty of individual attention. We have seen that the more individual attention the athlete gets, the better the results.
Thence, we give private and semi-private lessons.
But perhaps, the story is best told by pictures:
Above: AJ is up against Zane in this battle.
Above is Beast versus Bear (a.k.a. Darian) in an epic Sumo battle. Yes, the athletes periodically at the end of judo practise partake in friendly Sumo matches.
Below is Mohawk with another right sided Harai-goshi. It looks like this may become a favorite of his.
Wyatt receives instruction from Coach Angle.
We find the serenity of tranquility amidst the attack! It is for us to seek this secret.
And we have our Judo Princess, Milanie!
Space for future pictures and events.
Above: Aiden throws Beast (a.k.a. Peter) and takes him into a kesagatame hold down.
Below: Sleepy (a.k.a. AJ) catches an opponent of guard in a quick sasae tsurikomi ashi technique. Nice job!
Below: Declan versus Bear in what appears to be a pretty even stand-off.
Below is Mohawk (a.k.a. Andrew executing a nice Harai-goshi (Sweeping hip) throw.
Clay enters with a side Osoto-gari (Large outside sweep) throw.
The following three frames below show some of the guys learning O-goshi.
Coach Angle the Tsukuri (Construction) part of the O-goshi throw.
The troops perform the Kake (Execution) of the O-goshi throw.
